If you haven't heard the "Huge Announcement" I made a few days ago, here it is with the call for help in raising funds to begin this new journey. Posted on my GoFundMe account, please check it out! I need help! www.gofundme.com/eped3s "For much of my career, I have represented the U.S. on several levels of track and field on the international scale. That has been a very honorable part of my career that I have been most proud of. I now embark on a new journey as I will now be representing the polynesian island of SAMOA!" I need your help in donations to fund the beginning of this journey. Being that the sporting federation is relatively young for Samoa, they are still working to get sufficient funds for their athletes. So I need help with travel costs for several of these upcoming meets, until the federation can finally gather the funds necessary to support its athletes. Meets beginning in March! With the presence of my abilities on the track, the more the country is exposed on the international level, the more support the can receive from the International Olympic Committee. That support can lead to funding for new facilities, education, etc, that can help other young athletes in that part of the world, realize and reach their dreams! My mother is a full-blooded Samoan, born and raised in Apia, Samoa, in case anyone was wondering. She moved out here to further her education and life when she was only in high school. Very persistent in helping her family back home, she studied and worked non stop from then until now, having not returned home since moving out here, about 25+ years now. Raised in a very prominent family in Samoa, her last name carries much weight around the island. For her to leave home to further her education, she sought to better herself and knowledge, so that she can return with much to teach the island as a whole. So, I feel that as an "heir" to such a family, we must continue that journey. We are called to do amazing feats with the simple talents we have, never having to be more than what we are. No need to be a super hero in order to be a president; no need to be a Harvard Law graduate in order to make a difference. We are given specific talents to change anything in the path we have been laid upon. With my athletic abilities, who knows what could come of it in the future! So, as I set about this new journey of representing Samoa in the realm of athletics (track and field), who's to say what inspiration may come about for the individuals who watch. I can simply just run everyday, and I know my God will orchestrate everything surrounding the journey. Can you help me get started with a simple donation? Can you help me start to reach and change a country? Let's start Project Samoa 2016 and build a nation!
