I like to see myself as somewhat cool and collected, free from stress and anxiety with no worries in the world. Then I realize I live in the 21st century. More recently, I am living through 2020.

This past summer, I was woken by the worst head pain I’ve ever experienced. Not sure what happened as my family rushed me to the emergency room where we spent the night under doctor eyes. I was at the mercy of the pain; I was at a crossroad of unknown.

We later found out my migraines were just getting worse, eventually leading to the finding of several cysts and tumors throughout my body.
I fell into a dark place where I had no control, and any hope to climb out diminished by every moment.
Stress is inevitable; anxiety comes with the territory of life. However, it does not have to be something that paralyzes our ability to grow and move. Yes, it is a complicated issue as it varies among every individual. What may cause stress for one person, may derive excitement for another.

“Sleep is for the weak,” I hear many friends say. “I’m fine,” I hear others say, as you could see the pain and worry in their eyes. The denial of doubt and fear are infecting our mindset as we search for the appearance of control.

Stress and anxiety come so complex that the idea of a simple fix seems impossible, laughable when suggested. The concept of having control of your mind, body and soul are so far gone that we are unable to truly maximize our true potential, our inner greatness.

Recently, I’ve had the opportunity to experience InnerG CBD products, a company on a mission to remove the stigma surrounding anxiety in young adults. Aside from their natural product solutions through CBD gummies, cream, and drops, their goal is to provide a community where conversation can be created surrounding the idea of taking control of our mental health.

So, I decided to try their product solutions and attack pain and sleeplessness during this phase.
Something as simple as two delicious gummies at night, paired with easy, deep breathing showed wonders. Or, drops into my tea morning and night really eased some tension built from the days. The athlete side of me benefited from the cream I used to ease sore muscles.
I was able to slow down and take control of an anxiety-filled day. I was able take a moment to just breathe and collect whatever I appeared to lose. I regained peace, even through the pain.
We know health is best maintained when you feel in control, particularly mental health. The moment we feel a loose grip on any given situation, the spiral spins faster.

I do hope that people will be educated on the benefits of CBD.
